In collaboration with the Government of Karnataka, VistaGlobal Solutions implemented customized institutional solar power and backup systems across numerous Backward Classes (BC) Welfare Hostels. This landmark social infrastructure project ensures uninterrupted, clean power for thousands of resident student residents.
The initiative combines rooftop solar generation with intelligent energy storage solutions, illuminating dormitories, powering modern computer labs, and ensuring reliable operational amenities regardless of local grid fluctuations.
The primary operational challenge involved deploying standardized, highly robust solar PV and battery storage systems across geographically dispersed, remote hostel buildings with varying baseline electrical wiring conditions.
Ensuring absolute electrical safety for student residents, protecting equipment against severe voltage surges, and designing a system requiring minimal on-site technical intervention were paramount design constraints.
We engineered completely enclosed, tamper-proof solar inverter and lithium ferro-phosphate (LFP) battery storage kiosks featuring automated thermal management and multi-level surge protection. The entire electrical distribution of each hostel was upgraded to incorporate dedicated clean power circuits.
A centralized, cellular IoT-based remote management platform allows our central command center to monitor battery health, solar generation, and system uptime in real time, guaranteeing continuous illumination and empowering student education.
